We Are a Lot More Than Just a Lumber Yard
Fleury Lumber Company has been supplying high quality products and services to contractors and consumers in the greater Easthampton area since 1948. This three generational family-owned business, was started by Leon Fleury, who passed it on to his son-in-law, David J. Fagnand. The third and current generation owner, David M Fagnand, joined his father in 1987, after leaving an engineering career. Together with his family and his team of experts Fleury Lumber strives to provide the highest quality and performance products, with a commitment for one thing, customer service.
The friendly atmosphere is evident the moment you walk in the door. Our customers are treated like family, instead of just a number. Paying attention to the details, we strive to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Our favorite part of our job is dealing with our customers. We want your project to be successful – from a new home or addition to helping you choose just the right paint color for a small bath remodel. We have the people and products in place to help you get the job done right. Your success and satisfaction is our lumber number one priority.
Meet The Experts at Fleury Lumber
Dave grew up around Fleury Lumber, he started working in the yard as a teenager in 1975. After graduating from Easthampton High School in 1979 he went on to college. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with his B.S, Mechanical Engineering and then went on to Stanford University and received his Masters. After living out west for a while, he returned to Easthampton to help run the family business. He enjoys his work and feels fortunate to have formed many long lasting relationships with builders and contractors in the Pioneer Valley.
Melissa has been a part of the Fleury family since she married her soul mate David Fagnand 37 years ago. For many years, she was the ultimate stay at home mom raising their three beautiful kids into amazing young adults. She then took on more responsibility at FLC and can be seen regularly in the office, always with a smile. Outside of Fleury’s she enjoys golfing, hanging out with her husband and soul mate Dave, and spending time with her ever growing family!
Rebecca started at FLC in 2013. She came with experience in building materials, contractor sales and management. She has brought a lot to the table with her previous experience and relationships and is always a force to be reckoned with. She feels grateful to be working with such a great group of sales people, builders and contractors. She has helped to bring Fleury Lumber to a whole new level of excellence. She enjoys sewing, crafting, spending time with her best friend and husband, John and the rest of their family!
Bryan came to work at Fleury in 2015. He had experience in the industry from previous jobs and we were happy to welcome him into the Fleury team. He started as a driver, and has recently taken on more responsibility as the Yard Supervisor. Bryan is close to his family, his sister who he plays soccer with, his two brothers, Mom, Dad and of course a shout out to Wallace his cat, and Bruce & Saco the dogs!
Mike has been working at Fleury for the past 20 years. He started out as a driver and then moved in to a sales position where he currently is today. Mike is one of our top sales guys and we value his knowledge and skills very much. When he’s not working for FLC he enjoys spending time with his son Kaydin and playing video games and enjoying the culinary delights his neighbor and best friend Lee creates.
Roz’s background in bookkeeping and retail management made her a perfect candidate for what we needed in 2015 when she was hired. Roz works hard, and does her job well, always willing to help out. We are grateful for her ability to step up where she’s needed. When Roz is not at Fleury Lumber she’s enjoying her time at home, hanging out with her partner Deanne and her Dad, Ray. And don’t forget the dogs!
We are very happy to introduce our new Outside Sales Rep, Chris Roit. He started working for FLC this past August, but he has been a “friend of Fleury” for many years. Prior to Fleury Lumber he worked as a builder for Sarafin Builders for 25 years. After venturing out on his own he decided he wanted to give the Sales side a try and we are very happy he did! Outside of work he loves camping and hiking, cooking and Bourbon, and enjoying life to it’s fullest!

Driver & yard associate
After 23 years of dedication to Webster’s Fish Hook, the doors closed and we were lucky enough to have Jeff Nutting join our crew. Jeff is a hardworking, nose to the grindstone individual. He is always happy and cheerful with a morning greeting to everyone he sees. Jeff grew up in Florence, attended Smith Voc and has worked in various construction jobs over the years. In his spare time he is usually working on his house or on his multitude of vehicles. He also loves gardening, but most of all, he loves spending time with his son Tommy.
A quote that he loves…“There is a crack in everything, that is how the light gets in” – Leonard Cohen
Matt Kelly started here at FLC as a driver in December of 2021. He recently transitioned to inside sales where his personable and outgoing personality has made him a welcome addition. Matt is originally from West Springfield. He joined the Army right out of High School. He later became a Conductor working for the Railroad company where he traveled around between Chicago, NY, and New Jersey. He and his wife Shelby decided they wanted to settle down here in Easthampton to be close to family and start a family together. Matt enjoys sports and spending time with his family.
Jack is a hard working individual who currently attends Smith Vocational. He recently passed the driving test and got his drivers license, so CONGRATULATIONS Jackson!! Now he can drive around in his “new” truck that he worked so hard and saved up for. We are extremely happy to have Jack as a member of our Fleury family! Jack wishes to join the marines someday but for now, as his favorite quote says….”You just gotta keep on L-I-V-I-N man…” – Matthew McCanaughey
